Specimen #04000, 4/22/2001
Size: 5 by 7 inches, 1/2 inch thick slab
Composition: Sealed gray clay. Impressions made using
a screw, hex nut, bolt, screwdriver, nail clipper file, and
a scalpel blade.
Collection site: Chevy Chase, Maryland
Comments: My first fossil sculpture, using clay. Later
on I began to use concrete instead. However, the look and
feel of this piece still turned out exactly how I hoped, so
it works for me. It has sentimental value for me, so, I don't
think I'll sell it.
